Newmont has been engaged and commited to the community of Cambridge Bay and kept the Inuit of the Kitikmeot continually informed of their project from day one. They have listened to the concerns of the inuit and changed when they had to. Furthermore, the have lived up the the spirit of the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement and have many Inuit owned companies doing meaningful contracts.
